Matt Seubert AGM for Development
Matt Seubert has served as WRVO's Listener Support Coordinator since 2000. Matt has held various positions during his tenure at WRVO. He's been a program host, producer, operations director and listener support coordinator. In his current position, Matt oversees the Development side of WRVO and raising the necessary funds to keep WRVO strong.
Matt is a Central New York native and started his radio "career" in high school. While pursuing a degree in Broadcasting and Mass Communication, he began working part-time at WRVO. Upon his graduation, he joined WRVO full-time. He has since returned to the classroom and graduated with a degree in Political Science.
In his free time, Matt tries to figure out three letter "Q" words as he prepares for the professional Scrabble circuit. He's also been known to strike a golf ball 80+ times in an afternoon. Thankfully, Matt has good insurance as he also enjoys mountain biking. Matt's dog Libby, a Siberian Husky, enjoys taking him for runs. Liz Christensen Membership Manager
Elizabeth Christensen is WRVO's Membership Manager. Formerly part of WRVO's news team, she has worked at the station for close to a decade.
When she's not at work, she can usually be found fixing SOMETHING around her new house, being bossed around by her dogs, Samantha and Zeus, or hanging out with her husband, Mark.
She has the dubious distinction of being the staff member who lives farthest away from the station and she uses her hour and fifteen minute commute to ponder life's mysteries... and drink lots and lots and lots of coffee. E-mail Liz at liz<at>wrvo.fm |

Mark Lavonier Program Host
Mark has been with WRVO since 2001, where he began as a master control operator, and since that time has found himself knee-deep in reel to reel tape as Producer and weeknight host of the WRVO Playhouse. After 20 years of avid listening, he still thoroughly enjoys listening to and researching the golden age of radio on a daily basis. Weeknight evenings he can be heard as local host of All Things Considered, and contributes art, music and human interest features for the news side of WRVO’s broadcast day. He’s received recognition for these efforts from the Associated Press and Syracuse Press Club.
In his off-time he pursues his musical aspirations with his avant-garde solo project and a performing three-piece act, as well as contributions to WRVO such as the "Nature of Things" and “Water Drops” theme. Mark and his wife reside in Oswego. E-mail Mark at mark<at>wrvo.fm

Kate Percival Producer
|
When Kate first worked at WRVO, she was Kathleen DeForest, working as a part time board op, from fall 1994 until her graduation from SUNY Oswego in May 1996. After living in Florida, getting married and having a son, Kate came back to WRVO in May 2002 as a part-time board op. She has since moved up to full time Announcer and Producer. In March 2006, Kate took a 3 month maternity leave, after giving birth to a daughter. You can hear Kate on the air most weekdays, and when she's not "professionally talking", chances are she's at her desk doing paperwork, or chatting at the water cooler with Jeff Windsor!
Originally from Endicott, Kate now happily lives in Fulton, with husband Gary, son Aidan, daughter Moira, and the rest of the Percival circus: 2 dogs, a cat, and a tank of fish. The little free time she has is spent hanging out with her family or creating scrapbooks with the many pictures she's taken of her kids. | E-mail Kate at kate<at>wrvo.fm

Fred Vigeant Program Director
Fred Vigeant has been with The WRVO Stations since May of 2000. He started at WRVO as a student board operator working part-time shifts on the weekends. In May of 2002 Fred graduated from the State University of New York College at Oswego. After a minor stint working for Target Corp. he returned to the WRVO Stations on the full time roster as a producer. In 2003 Fred was promoted to Operations Director and just recently moved up the ranks yet again to Program Director.
Whether it’s Fred’s good nature or the fact that he’s a sucker, he also is regarded as having two unofficial titles at the station. He is the stations’ Tour Guide, but also the Scapegoat. If anything goes wrong, breaks, wrong program airs, crummy weather, etc…it’s all Fred's fault!
In his free time (if he gets any), he loves to ski during the cooler months. In the few days of summer in Oswego, Fred can be found around Oswego walking, or biking. In-between all that and work, he also plays tuba in a local brass quintet. E-mail Fred at fred<at>wrvo.fm

Hobbies for Bill include anything that involves his family - camping in the Adirondacks, sports and various community activities. We also acknowledge Bill as WRVO's "best dressed" staff member. E-mail Bill at bgowan<at>twcny.rr.com

Bonnie Prime Member Services
Bonnie's background comes from the banking industry, with over 20 years experience. After giving up her suits and dry cleaning bills, Bonnie decided to try something totally different - something fun, with no stress and a casual dress code (Bonnie states "no more pantyhose and heels for this girl-although I do miss those shoes!") A few years ago, Bonnie came in as one of our phone volunteers during an on-air fundraiser and as luck would have it, an opening came up at WRVO.
So, here she is! Starting her new career in radio in January of 2005, Bonnie is WRVO's Listener Supporter Associate, Financial Membership Wizard, Data Entry Manager, Lip Balm Specialist and Den Mother. E-mail Bonnie at bonnie<at>wrvo.fm

John Hurlbutt Retired - Program Host
John Hurlbutt is WRVO's former local host of Morning Edition and has been since 1980.He signed off on March 24th, 2009. He's been on the radio in some hosting capacity every year since WRVO went on the air in 1969 which must be some kind of modern day consecutive longevity record for Central New York radio broadcasting. Not bad for a guy who can barely pronounce the letter "W" and who grew up before radio was invented, obstacles which many people agree he has overcome with a modest degree of success.
Hurlbutt enjoys reading, watching sports and other "good" TV shows, and the good company of friends and family who share his passion for Scrabble, cards and conversation.
Realizing that he was lacking an abundance of aggravation in his life, he's once again playing golf quite frequently, enjoying it occasionally. E-mail John at hurlbutt<at>wrvo.fm |
