A Prairie Home Companion is coming to the big screen, at a movie theater near you!

In an exciting first for the show, on Thursday, February 4th, 2010, a performance of A Prairie Home Companion at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, Minnesota, will be beamed live in high-definition exclusively to some 500 participating movie theaters and performing arts centers across the U.S. and Canada.

A Prairie Home Companion will feature special guest performers including Jearlyn and Jevetta Steele and Heather Masse as well as favorite show regulars such as actors Sue Scott and Tim Russell, sound-effects wizards Tom Keith and Fred Newman, and the Guy's All-Star Shoe Band led by keyboardist, composer, and arranger Richard Dworsky.

This special two-hour presentation begins at 8 p.m at the Carousel Center Theater in Syracuse.

An encore of the program will run on Tuesday, February 9th, 2010 (also at 8pm.) Preceding the special presentation, the theater will show a 30-minute, specially produced "walk-in," featuring show trivia and other entertaining elements.
